Tree Fetish (dendrophilia)
Dendrophilia refers to a specific paraphilia characterized by an erotic attraction to trees. Individuals exhibiting this preference may attribute various symbolic significances to trees, including phallic and virile representations. This paraphilia often leads to sexual behavior involving direct interaction with trees and other plant life. In some cases, individuals may choose to engage sexually in environments such as forests, where an abundance of trees enhances arousal. A related condition, xylophilia, describes sexual attraction to wood itself. While there is potential overlap between dendrophilia and xylophilia, the latter may not exclusively involve an interest in trees, focusing instead on the material properties of wood. Exploratory sexual activities on polished wooden surfaces can exemplify this phenomenon.
